Condominium: Pool Area
One of Michael Lee Scott’s most loved works, the wall of a large A Fame pool house. The property is called the Palm Bay and the owner wanted the feel of Key West. Michael Lee decided to give the feeling of walking down a side street near the water looking through the houses to the sea beyond. It is so lifelike that a walk down the path toward the ocean seems completely possible.
When you see the work in process, you can actually see how Michael Lee caters to every detail. The ceiling here is just fiberboard but when you look at the finished room you see that he has captured the look of real wood down to the smallest detail in the grain.
The detail of the bicycle flopped over in the bushes really gives the sense of a lazy day at the beach. Jumping off the bike and running down the path toward the water — it’s all so real that you might even hear the ocean.
The thatched roof, the lamp, the leaves against a blue summer sky…this room absolutely captures a day at a beach house on Key West. Michael Lee has applied his talent here to truly capture exactly what the client was looking for — a lazy day — a place to just relax.
The shadows, texture and color of the leaves give this detail of Key West Isle a lush feeling of real plants. There is no detail left behind when Michael Lee applies his talent to a room.
